How To Paint the mesh on the Hood Vent?

What kind of paint? Do I just get a can of spray paint at Walmart? Glossy or flat black? Should I take off all the old paint first? Do i need to coat it with something before I paint so the paint will stick?

if you are panting the vent part then i would get high temp flat black paint.

if you are painting the mesh part then get high temp high closs black paint.

in the end it will look just like stock on bouth parts.
