I wonder if the paint thinner would do anything to the tires?

Also says do not get on rubber! Nasty stuff on rubber. Makes it swell like a blister.

I would just take the tires off then sand/bead blast it down to bare metal and get them powder coated. If you want to do a good job you won't leave the tires on.

I do not think the thinner would tear up the tires to terribly bad, but just in case why dont you tape them off before you apply thinner, at the very least a couple of layers of 2 inch tape around them, if it will not stick, wipe your tires down with a light coat of thinner to remove any tire dressing etc etc. IF you use the B12 chem tool, aka aircraft stripper, MAKE SURE you protect the tires in some way cause that stuff if gnarly. Also what kind of paint did you use? Rattle can??? If so laquer thinner will do the trick no problem. But if you want the safest way, just sand it off. Keep in mind that some wheels( I am not sure if the stock enkies come this way or not) have a clear coat on the factory finish, so you will most likely need to put some sort of refinish on them.
