Fuel Pump Install Problem!

I installed the 255 pump and my car would not start. I went back and then reinstalled the stock pump, and still would not start. I did accidently take off the ground connection even though I did not need to, might that have anything to do with it?

I checked all fuses and all are good.

Please give me any suggestions you have!

Did you put the ground connection back or is it still off?

I am assuming that when your reinstalled the stock pump it worked? If that is the case, then something may be wrong with the 255. It installs the same exact way as stock.

One thing that you may not have accomidated for is that the pump needs to prime. How long did you try to start it for?

I did connect the ground back up.

It did not work when i reinstalled the stock pump.

I believe that it has something to do with the ground. Correct me if i'm wrong but There is a metal tab inside the ground connection, is that supposed to go inside the round end on the bottom of the ground clip.
And is there an O ring that is supposed to go there as well?

The fuel pump, neither stock or the 255, is getting power. I can't hear either of them winding when i connect them.

grab a fluke and test your continuity on the fuel pump fuse and the relay under the hood.

thanks guys i fixed it though and i'm not really sure how. I took it out a couple more times and messed with that ground plug and switched the relay's around to see if it was that. I plugged it in and tried starting it and it worked.
