Car in shambles due to DP...
remove the stock donut gasket, i had the same problem when i installed my BR dp. took me a while to realize it. THE gasket at first i didnt know it was a gasket did not look like it would come out buy after fidging with it i was able to remove it with some type of hook tool i found laying around. Hopefuly this is the same problem you are having GL!
Well just for the record nothing was preventing the DP from seating against the O2 housing properly. Old gasket was out, new gasket put on. Took it to a shop today and they put it on for me!
Thanks for all the replies though guys. I guess the moral to the story is DON'T DIY and waste 5 hours of ur time when u can pay $80 to get it done in 45 mins.

For some of us that $80 is a days worth of work!
....others of us it is even more!Did the shop guys just do it without issue?
I think the moral might be something more like *take a step back, look at the situation, don't get frustrated and figure out what is wrong before you waste 5 hours*
