Question EVO IX power window switch removal?

ok, so I've had a good search on the forum but didn't find anything specific. Here's the deal: I want to go flat black on all of my interior panels (there's a nice write up here:https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=214764) INCLUDING the front and rear power window switches. Any idea on how to remove those 4 bits? Also, how do I remove the plastic bit surrounding the gear lever? I mean the plastic panel that houses the cigarette lighter...thanks!

PS I've tried prying but it feels too tight and I'm afraid of braking everything!

Basically, has anyone tried taking these (4) things off the door panels??

if your talking about just removing the window switch from the door panel then just use a flat head screw driver. If I remember there are tabs that hold it into place, if you can release the tabs from the side your can take it out easily.

yes, just the switches on the doors...I'm just afraid of damaging the door trim that's the problem...any suggestions? wrapping the screwdriver in a cloth perhaps?

fingernails. everything is just held in by little clips, i just pulled mine off to make sure. just be gentle and slow but use force, if you see something start to bend just stop. The lower center piece that houses the cig lighter and ashtray also is just clipped in(just the top part), although it will be much easier if you just remove that whole center section and you will be able to push the clips out from the bottom.

A panel popper would be the right tool, but if you dont have one of those, just use a screwdriver as mentioned. Just get it under the switch, pry up without marring the door panel. Its really easy, just gotta pull up on it with some force.
