Replacing EVO 8 oil pressure switch/sensor please help

I was wondering how do I get to the sensor since its under the intake manifold. From the driver's side there's tons of hoses and lines blocking acess to it and from the passenger side I could barely reach it (I have small hands). Does anyone know how to get to it?
thanks

what is your car doing? I think I have the same problem if your dummy light is flickering on and off at idle. Im glad you posted this cause I need to know the same thing.

I get to it from the passenger side. stick my arm under the intake and get the socket and ratchet on like that. Drivers side has too much crap in the way.

I removed the upper I/c pipe and strut bar. Its still not easy but that's the way I got to it.

Thanks guys I finally got it, now I see some oil build up around the sensor. Could this be why my light is on? Should I put some sealant on the thread of the new sensor?

You could use teflon tape, the sensor grounds through ecu and not the block.

I think they just go bad from the vibrations. Maybe some liquid sealant but use sparingly

The thing is my sensor stays on at idle and only goes away when the rpms are reved up

Even the new one, also check for corrosion at the terminal end.

If it's still bad get a mechanical oil pressure guage and check it. Hopefully you don't need an oil pump and starved the bearings.

no i havent switched the sensor yet, i had to go out and buy the teflon tape first. As far as the oil pressure gauge to check it i dont have one. Would this kit work for it? i dont know the fitting size but it seems to bring many. Below is the kit

What our oil pressure supposed to be at idle? Does it change much if you have say for example... 272 cams?
