is this going a great buy with only 9k miles on it? I want to get an evo soon but want to make sure I find the right one? everyone's evo input? please

 

WW is the nicest color. I bought my IX MR a 15 months ago with 3k miles for $29k. Doesn't seem like the greatest deal.

Personally i wouldn't waste my money on an MR if i did it over again. Not worth it IMO. Goodluck

so a regular MR has 6 gears and the MR SE has 5?

 

no there was the SE the MR and the MR SE... All MR's have the 6spd the SE and other Evo's had a 5spd

Well a few things need to be answered... Do you plan on installing coilovers? Will you be drag racing? Road racing? Do you care about an extra gear to help out with highway cruising?

The 6 speed is weaker than the 5 speed, so keep that in mind if you are going to start making some decent power. I swapped the 6-speed out of my MR in favor of a 5-speed.

 

If you are going to get coilovers then the mr is not worth it

The mr has a very small 4,5,and 6th gear, also parts are more expensive to fix the 6speeds due to the fact that they were outsourced unlike the 5 speed witch was built by mitsu

all in all, i would not say the mr is any better or worse but not worth any extra money

Because you're paying extra for the MR's Billstein shocks. If you're going to swap those out then you pretty much wasted your money...although you can always resell the Billsteins.
