Help Help

I installed my HKS turbo timer according to the write up by Vanilla Sky. Everything seemed to be ok. But then I turn the car on and the turbo timer does not light up. Rechecked all the connections. Everything looks fine. Then a minute or so later the car shuts off. This happened twice. Keys still in the ignition. Turbo timer not lit up. What is the deal? Please HELP, car is in peices right now!!!!!!

Well, I don't know if it will help you now, but did you use a harness or tap into your ignition wires? Use a voltmeter and make sure you are getting good connections. Did you use your e-brake shutoff? If not, I think it has to be ground at all times.

The harness made it 10 times easier to install. Very simple installation and worth the $12 from Boost Solutions.

Either you have a bad turbo timer or loose connection. Check your grounding point too.

Use the harness if possible. It's just a little more investment, but the installation process will be a breeze.

I have the harness. I figured it out finally, at 5:00 this morning, after taking it all apart and completely reconnecting everything, I tried a different ground point and wallah, it worked. Functions 100% normal. Thanks for the input. I talked to someone else on AIM who had a grounding problem. I guess you have to pick a solid ground point. But now it]s all good. Thanks again.
