My experience was similar.. after a few days it started going back to the way it was.. Nobody really ever figured out why it feels different.. Everyone has speculated Engine Heat and ECU adjustments as the primary reason.

The ECU will learn about the filter eventually, but thats only at part throttle closed loop driving. when I installed the S-AFC and Boost controller, it obviously is where it shined the most.

With no other mods, I think the K&N Drop in filter is a good choice.. But the Airbox does have its limitations and at that point you'd definitely need to upgrade (more air in, more air out)

ok, let me get this right:

the ECU will eventually fix itself and adjust to the new intake? Will getting the mass air pipe upgrade fix all these intake "problems"?

He's right, a majority of the gains are in conjunction with the rest of the Buschur mods.. I have the same, full Turbo back exhaust, Cat, S-AFC, MBC, and their Air filter.. When I was just running the air filter, it did feel like I lost a small amount of power until the computer eventually compensated. My next mods will probably be Ground kit, Cams, Fuel pump, FMIC upgrade, higher capacity Fuel injectors, and replacing the MBC and S-AFC with a TurboXS Utec when its released.
