Gauge sensor question
how many wires are in most ext temp sensors?
Bought the gauge but didnt come with sensor. Sensor alone will cost more than the gauge(over $100) if i get it from them.
gauge has 3 wires to hook up the sensor.
Thinking about hooking up different company's sensor(some thing that is cheaper than original)

Most temp are two wires, pressures are usually three. There is no way a temp sensor should cost anywhere near that much.
What brand of gauge is it and what type of sensor does it use? (thermistor or thermocouple)
If you use another brand you will need to make sure the scaling is the same.
