bishi, you say the downpipe wasn't that difficult? Is it just getting the stock dp off the problem, or putting the new one on?

Getting the stock dp off is no problem it is getting the B&B one one on with the stcock donut gasket which gives you trouble. The gasket does not want tot seat down in the B&B downpipe like it did in the OEM one.

If you have a lift you will be able to get more leverage to compress the springs on the bolts to bolt the downpipe to the o2 housing. All I had were jack stands and was laying on the ground, could not get that much leverage to compress the bolts but finally it worked w/o cross threading the bolts.

I just installed the turboback by B&B and I am having the same problems as above. I couldn't get the dp on with the stock gasket. I just got my exhaust on Thursday but it didn't come with a gasket though. Right now my exhaust is leaking at the dp (has no gasket so its no surprise) and at the axle back too. Funny because it seems that is a common place where it leaks. I am just going to use Ultra Copper for all of my gaskets and see how it works. Everyone I know that has used that stuff has said its awesome! I will let everyone know tomorrow when I install it.

By the way with this setup with no cat I have not thrown a CEL
either. I am actually surprised! But then again I have only driven for like 10 miles with it.

I installed the Pony Express MIL Eliminator last week. I even called thge Pony Exp. guy and he recomended a conection. I got a CEL after my second long drive (20 miles+). I'm going to get the code checked at Auto Zone and call him back. They are working on a MIL Eliminator for the Evo and the new STI (they both have the same problem. The system the make does switch voltage and works on 2003 and older WRXs. But the Evo and STI have a different program and it throws codes for not switching fast enough. He says they are very close to a solution. Does anybody know if Perrin fixed their O2 simulator?

I don't know what gaskets are people talking about that B&B are shipping now. I called them 2 weeks ago and again I called them today. They told me that they use the stock gasket for the dp to the O2 housing. They sent me another dp so I am going to try that. Hopefully that works

I believe in the past they were shipping hard copper gaskets for the connections on the turbo back instead of sandwhich type gaskets. You have to use the Copper donut gasket for the connection from the downpipe to the o2 housing. Make sure you use something like rvt copper gsket maker in between each connection except the one for the downpipe to the o2 housing. This will ensure that you will have no leaks.
