Hi guys, just wanna share with you that I bought the cabin air filter for my Lancer 02, but the weirdest thing happens. I cut the plastic cover because it was never replaced before, but the original filter was not there!!!!!! :O

Any ideas why?

PS: I´ve installed the new one without any issues.

Disturbing but not surprising. I remember hearing before that some of the Lancers didn't come with in-cabin filters. I think yours is a confirmation of that story. Glad you can now enjoy cleaner air!

I removed mine yesterday and just washed it in a bucket of soap and water, let it dry in the sun and refit it.Stronger air coming through and it's nice and clean now.

I tried removing my glovebox, and I managed to remove the tab on the LHS (I have a JDM 8 MR) but the other fixed tab wont budge. Did you all just bend it to get it out?

Just twist it down to the floor,it will unhook by itself.
