I did that and it looks fantastic!

And props for getting the ETS IC. Looks to be a very good IC.

kris, after trimming, were you still able to bolt up the bumper at those holes where you trimmed?

ahh, i c. thanks for the clarification.
running no mesh on the evo9 definitely looks better than running no mesh on the evo8 since the core fills the entire opening of the 9 front bumper. my personal opinion of course.

I totally agree with you there, but I wish it would fill it with the FULL CORE, like the ETS ones do.

I think that gives the car a much more aggressive look, but it wasn't worth the extra $400 I would have had to spend. Not to me atleast, a broke college student.

ok so i took out the bottom mesh completely and i was able to get the bumper back in in 10 minutes. it's definitely that corner(s) cuz i jacked the car up and looked underneath. i need about an inch of clearance in order to install the bumper with the mesh. o well.

I installed my ETS 3.5" on my Evo VIII during the summer and had the same exact issue as you mentioned. Nothing a couple minutes with some tin snips couldn't resolve, though.

it looks like the metal mounting hole plates at the corners of the middle mesh are rubbing against the endtanks. i don't recall anyone mentioning the need to trim or do anything special. does anyone know if i'm doing anything wrong?? it's really annoying cuz now my endtanks are scratched up...

thanks a lot guys.
Sorry to bring this back from the dead but I'm having the same issue with my Evo 9. I can't seem to find anything on it. I emailed ETS but they replied with "you have to trim the back of the bumper cover"... Nice answer but, what part exactly do I trim? If there's a link for the install could someone hook a brother up 🙏
