I believe they just pop off? They clamp onto the projector. Was thinking about painting them when I did my blackout headlights, but decided against it.

Yeah i found a clip for the hid bulb, but once i paint them, what do i do about the projector glass still in there? Also, there is a small black box next to the ballast which seems to be the leveling motor, what do i do with that?

You don't have to sand you can just spray. Just give let it dry between each coat.

you need to sand in order for the primer/paint to bite.

^ not true.

It's really not a big deal. They will look fine and stick as long as they are cleaned off well prior to paint.

Is there anyway to keep the lenses from fogging up? I did this on my WRX, and the passengers lens got a smokey, haze over it.

you damn nerds need to get more DIY under your belts.

DO NOT WASTE TIME SANDING THE CHROME OFF YOUR HEADLIGHT HOUSINGS. BUY CAN OF YELLOW HEAVY DUTY E-Z OFF OVEN CLEANER (if you dont have some at home anyways) SPRAY ON. LET SIT 5 MINUTES. WASH OFF CHROME TO SEE NICE PERFECT PLASTIC BASE. NO SANDING INVOLVED.

I'm amazed at how many threads I've seen where people are whining about sanding the chrome taking soooooo long and so much detail to get in the grooves. EZ off, SOS pad, 10 minutes. Both done, and nothing but bare plastic left like it'd sit at the factory.

THANK ME LATER SWEETHEARTS!

Can anyone else verify that easy off works and leaves a smooth finish?
