Spoiler was painted, can it be removed?

Yea guys, like the title states. The owner before painted the top section of the wing black, but the bottom and sides underneath are still carbon. Is there anyway to remove the black paint to make it carbon again? If not I can live with it but i really like the carbon spoiler and dont like it being painted black. Thanks guys

You would have to sand it down and then hit it up with a layer of clear coat...

Sorry to dig up an inactive thread, but I too would like to know the procedure. My Evo's previous owner painted the entire carbon section blue (and like the OP, I love the carbon look). What grit is best? Also, will the carbon be damaged in any way from the paint?

Thanks!

OK! Found a thread of someone sanding the entire wing down to the CF. I'm sure the same procedure applies to our need (just in our painted center section.) There's also pics.
