Quick Question: Prosport Gauges Connectors
Quick Question: Prosport Gauges Connectors
I saw a few threads on gauge installation but didn't want to hi-jack the thread so I made my own. I have a Prosport performance (the cheap ones with no memory setting) oil temp and water temp electric gauge. With the Premium series, the temp sending wires connect simply by plugging them in (@2:33

However, for mine, it came with connectors instead, as highlighted in red below. How do I connect the connectors to the wires? The thicker black and white wires on the right of the picture are from the sending unit...

you crimp them on the guage side.
u see the very left one? it's a male fitting that looks kinda like a bullet- it slides into the female side on the right. vice versa for the other pair of wires.
at this point you can crimp it down for permanent fitment or just wrap it all up in electrical tape so it stays.

Thanks. Do I cut the insulation from the bundled wires that's at the top of the picture so bare metal wire is exposed?
Also..... Since the black wire with the insulator and crimp connector is ground, would I have to make a "T" connection to connect that to the ground wire from the gauge? And if i were to make a "T" connection, then it wouldn't be possible for me to crimp them together right?
