Smile E-Brake or Parking Brake Handle Replacement

1) The parking brake in my EVO VIII is glued on and it is on a track so it comes straight off; though a lil twist left and right may help to break the glue trying to twist the handle off is a mistake as I SAY AGAIN IT SLIDES STRAIGHT OFF.

2) Pull the brake handle lever up as high as you can to give yourself some leverage... then put your right knee in the driver’s seat and your left in the passenger seat. Then reach down with both hands using your grown man grip and pull the handle up and off. Almost as if you were doing a dead lift... just pull straight up.

3) Put your new sparco, ralliart, rexpeed or whatever brake handle on and call it a wrap.

It really is as easy as 1, 2, 3… good luck!

I found that heating up the area with a hair dryer really helped to loosen it up
