Turbo timer/removing panels

Cannot figue out how to get driver's side dash panel/steering wheel cover off to access ignition wiring for my blitz DCII TT. I have removed eery screw i can find, but none help. Can someone please help me??? Also, if anyone knows a good access point for a firewall for the pressure sensor, that would be great.

The cover on the steering wheel is snapped together...after you remove the screws, gently pry it apart. It's a little spooky but it will come apart. I just removed the lower portion and left the top in place for my install. Be careful when removing the console. I didn't realize how the front of the console snapped into the portion around the shifter and broke one of the tabs off the front of my console . Also, make sure you have the right wiring harness or you may have some stuttering when you shut the car down. I used the GReddy harness but had to have the vender rewire two of the wires (sorry not sure which ones). With that mod I've had zero problems. The Blitz is a nice unit.

As far as a place to run the pressure line through the firewall. If you look at the firewall, under the hood, passenger side you will see a rubber plug with nothing attached. Now remove the glovebox and drop it down. With a flashlight, you should be able to see the plug straight ahead from the right side of the glovebox opening. I pulled the plug and drilled a hole throught the rubber with increasingly larger bits until I could be the line through snuggly.

If you search this forum for turbo timers I think you will find some good pictures of the plug to guide you.

I hope this helps...

Thanks alot for your help. It was scary pulling apart the dash for the first time, but my friend and I managed to install the timer without a hitch. I used the HKS harness and the Blitz DC II TT, and they worked together the first time. The best access to the engine for the press hose was behind the glove box, and from there we ran the hose behind the center unit (A/C, radio etc. We ran the emergency brake wires along the rim of the center console, mounting the bltiz brainon the a/c underneath the steering wheel. Everything looks great. I mounted the Blitz LCD unit underneath the airconditioner behind the ashtray, sticking it up in the gap betweent the two units. We just took two peices of 3M tape we bought at Wal-Mart, sticking a piece to the top and bottom, and then just weged it in there. It is the best spot for the contrast of the unit, as well as keeping it out of sunlight and the wires from getting tangled. Only one problem: The screws that fit in the two holes underneath the steering wheel next to the adjuster didn't go back in. Not sure how to fix it. The casing stays on fine, but i am afraid nonetheless.Anyways, I will gladly post install pictures for anyone who wants to see my install. I think i can be of great assistance to anyone who needs some pointers. Only thing is, I don't know how to post pics! If you are interested in the pictures, pm me and i will send them to you.

rblader...glad to hear that it worked out. I too mounted the LCD in the same location as you, but I carved a small piece of wood into a wedge shape and velcroed the wedge to the console forward of the ashtray and velcroed the LCD to the wedge. This allows me to easily remove/hide the LCD if need be. I'm not sure why the screws wouldn't go back into your wheel cover. Dumb question, but are you sure everything is properly lined up...mine went right back in. Take care...
