speedo moves faster then the car

hey guys i tried to research this but came up empty handed so please help me out here.
I seem to notice that my speedo at wot starts to move faster then my real speed could be( i know evo's are fast but it goes 30mph in 1 sec almost)
i thought it was a bad clutch so i changed it with a new flywheel, im still in my break in period and i havent even pushed it yet but i noticed that it still tries to jump speeds.
anyone have an idea? maybe the speed sensor?
thanks

uploaded a movie on page 2

To test it out for sure, find an empty parking lot. Then set up two cone gates 50 feet apart. Have a buddy stand outside the car with a stopwatch. Travel at 40 mph steady speed through the first set of gates. Your buddy will have to start the watch as soon as you go through the gates. Have him stop the watch when you pass through the second set of gates. Take the time and divide it by the distance then convert to mph to see if your speedo is accurate.

BTW, do you have a set of aftermarket wheels?

i think i need to explain more clearly sorry bout that
i can drive in 4th gear @ 60 mph and my speedo is then accurate but *** soon as i punch it and the boost comes to 19 psi of the 25 it shoots up faster then thru speed my rpm climb normal and feels like it should, if i give it dots of gas instead of floring it the speedo climbs normal or at least less fast.

tnx for your help

Either sounds like a slipping clutch or a boost leak.

thats what i thought too but i just changed the clutch and it pulls really strong, a boost leak is also unlikely since my gauge does not drop under wot it just holds the boost fine.
i installed a wideband yesterday and noticed that the car runs like a champ air/fuel wise as well.
so im guessing its a faulty speed sensor?

When the speedo jumps and you let off does the speedo come back down to where it should be?. Sounds like a bad sensor or faulting wiring/computer/cluster. A slipping clutch will not cause the speedo to jump like that, it will cause rpm to jump.

thank you MechTech that was the kind of confirmation I was looking for, I figure my clutch cant be the case.

it does come immediately back down when i let of the gas and stops at the appropriate speed.

Having video of the speedo in action would help us diagnose your issue. Do you have a go pro or can you borrow one from someone?
