stock boost gauge connections ?
Anyone know if our evos have the connections from the factory to plug a boost gauge straight up without any cutting etc.. ? thanks!
I've read that if you T in where MKSEVO did you will get some weird readings from the boost gauge, so figured the recirc line would be better. But I also just read its bad to run the boost vacuum line over 3ft. Is that true?
I Tee'd mine right there and no problems. Vac and boost readings are right on. But I Tee'd mine in just north of that blue circle right in the middle of that short hose.
Edit: You can run the line more than 3 feet. in fact, my factory guages Tee in in that spot, then run to the front of the car and down and over the wheel well, through the grommet under the glove box on the side, and over to the center console. The factory guage package came with way more than 3 feet of hose to run.

just FYI i did T at the bottom hose first but seen how it went the the feul pressure valve, i began to think what it this causes a malfuntion and gauge or hose breaks or leaks then i loose boost and fuel pressure bad idea. at least here you dont effect the fuel system if there is a malfuntion. I did both and the readings were identical.
