Question Boost gauge install : TWO ways ?????????

I found two different install instructions for the boost hose line TEE location.

On the passenger side of the intake manifold you will find the fuel pressure regulator solenoid.
This regulator has two hoses going in...one on top, above the FPR solenoid harness, and one on the bottom of the FPR solenoid harness (you can see it once you remove the harness going to the solenoid).

One posting on the board said to TEE into the top part and another said (in reference to Evo-Motorsport) too TEE in at the bottom part.
SO which one is the correct one ??????????????????

(Also where can I buy additional vacuum hose lines )

Thanks
Siyah .....(Defi waiting to be installed).

You can tee in on either side of that line or in the middle. I put mine in the middle by cutting the stock hose at a good position. If your installing Defi gauges you should have plenty of vacuum line because the gauges should have come with some (atleast my BF gauges did).

Ordered Defi D-Gauge (PSI)

Just want to make sure I am ready to do the install once I get the Gauge...ordered from lancershop.com , so I am hoping it will come with all the parts required.

If you are going to use the FPS hose to tee into, then you HAVE to tee into the bottom hose. The hose with the plastic wrap around it. Remove the wrap and tee into that line. Otherwise you'll get an inaccurate reading in your boost gauge.

Another hose you can tee into is the hose that runs from the manifold to the BOV.

siyah, sorry man I made a mistake on the hose. it's the top hose from the FPR to the manifold that you want to tap into. I assumed the the hose with the wrap was only for this hose. however both hoses have the wrap on them.
sorry for the confusion.

where you guys put the vacum hose thru the firewall and into the cabin?

I looked at my car today and I dont see any "hole" on the firewall from the engine bay. and I don't want to drill one.

I guess one possible way is go thru the fender?

thank you

Look at the far left of the firewall (as you face the engine) there is a plug there that will drop the hose behind the glove box. Otherwise through the fender is the OEM way to do it.

I went through the fender by first dropping the liner.

yeah its over there almost next to the fender area, i used a long piece of thread all , and pushed it out form the inside you cannot push it in from under the hood it is a one way rubber mount. you will need to take the glove box down then look way over in the corner and up. mine was covered in white power so use a bright light very nice and clean , hard part will be trying to put it back later , someone with small hands or twisted coat wire maybe.
