Turbo Timer help~!

Hi guys, this is my first time posting.
I need some help with instaling the blitz dual turbo timer
hope anyone could help me out

1. i bought the harness which is suppose to make the installation easier. For those of you who got the blitz harness, did you all get MI-01 51200? The store bought it from, they gave me MI-02 which i'm not sure if this will work too...(he said so)

2. where are the better grounding points? and how do you connect the grounding wires to those points?

3. where does the vacuum hose go to??

4. do i have to have the car battery unpluged before the installation?

i appreciate anyone's help

I grounded to the block, through the firewall. I also, unhooked the battery, just to be safe. Do a search, there is a good diagram on here somewhere.

I didnt unhook the battery (i mean to, forgot.) but nothing came of it.

I took the 2 grounding clips, and put them both under the bolt highlighted by the red arrow. The green box is the turbo timer. I got the turbo timer only and a separate boost gauge. But the boost gauge i routed to the engine bay behind the glovebox as suggested in other posts. The vacuum line I also spliced into a place suggested by other posts.

THanks a lot for the picture, now i know where to ground the wires

but how about the vacuum hose, on the instruction it says "connect to vaccum and presure source behind the throttle body"
where is the presure source? is it like a hole u just stick the hose into it?

ok and for the harness i think i got the wrong one
i would like to show the picture, but i don't know how to attach file here
um..........on ur harness, seems like all the wires are white color
but on my harness, it hasred, yellow, blue, white black, and green
i just phoned blitz to ask which harness i should get
he told me it's "MI-04 51203".........is this the one you guys have?
i just want to doulbe check before i go out and exchange for another one

Thanks a lot again!!

i dont know the number of my wiring harness. but there were 2 harnesses. 1 that came WITH the turbo timer. It had the red/green/blue, whatever, etc. wires. Then there's the harness for the Evo itself that you get separately. That one was mostly white wires. you unclip the ignition wire connector in the steering column. Then you put the white wired harness in between. Plug in both ends. Then the white wired harness has another connector sticking out the side (kind of). You plug the Blitz colored harness into this one. Sorry I dont have the actual part number, but I imagine they wouldnt sell you something that doesnt work. You can see the Blitz colored harness in the pic above. dangling below the white harness.

for pics of where to connect vacuum, i followed this thread:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...threadid=36529

scroll down. Use the hose and t-connector to 'splice' into .. just as in the pictures.

I finally got the right harness and installed the turbo timer today!!
rocketscien, that was really big help
but please forgive me, since this is my first time DIY my car
the turbo timer worked fine, it counts down for the engine to shut down.......
but i still not really sure about the vaccume hose
i looked at that page
seems like u have to remove those 2 hoses that go into those holes, and make a T thing and run the vaccum hose into there right
but what about the hoses that were originally there?
aren't they for the stock pressure gauge??( i got the stock sports meter)
if you remove them, wouldn't the stock gauge stop working??
i just want to make sure before i remove anything

and the blitz dual turbo timer can calculate the time u need to keep the engine running before you can shut it off right, does it calculate thru the presure that was inside the turbo at the time?
so is that why there's this vaccume hose for the timer?

sorry i keep asking, but really thanks for the help
