So this was done to the outside of the taillights. Hmmm, this is a lot easier than baking them in the oven and tinting the inside of the lens..

HIya

Hey I just want to give an input on this subject. I did this on my old/other car, but I use Tamyia tint paint and airbrushed, still same as using the spray cans. Anyway that was 97 or 98 when I sprayed it, it's still on there and hasn't really fade that much. One thing I do suggest doing...is after you spray the tint on to the darkness you like, let it dry completely or well enough then spray a paint clear coat or two. This way it'll protect the tint, cracks and from scratches a little...something I should of done back then. LOL
Good luck.

If you buy the tint thats a little more expensive, you don't have to worry about it at all. I can take a bruch to mine and scrub scrub scrub all day and you can't see anything. I get compliments on them a few times a week. and it's really easy to do. I bought the stuff from http://www.darksidemotoring.com/. I would give them a call and order the good stuff....but that's just me....

p.s. I will try to take a closer pic if anyone is interested. I would also be more than happy to tint anyones lights for them. i have done a few sets now, and i would be more than happy to help out fellow lancer/evo owners.
