Exhaust install - O2 sensor bolt hard as hell

I was just trying to remove the stock exhaust but the freakin bolt for O2 sensor was super hard and couldn't get it off.
Do you guys have any tip? I sprayed some oil but didn't do anything. I guess the rust is sticking together.
I only have a jack and stands so I can't use the long pipe either.

I'm asking my macho friend to help me out tomorrow but is there any special tool required to take that thing off?
Any tip will be appreciated.

BUMP

Anyone? I know lots of people have taken the O2 sensor out.

Help me out. Is it just matter of forcing the bolt to turn left?

I just used a crescent wrench to get mine off. I had to pull as hard as I could, until I was blue in the face and it finally budged. good luck.

Did you try to run the engine for a few minutes and then (carefully) attempt to remove the bolt? Sometimes heat cycling may help.. just be really careful not to burn yourself..

a BFW (big friggin wrench) usually works too.. when you put it back in, you might want to coat the threads with antiseize compound so it comes out easier in the future. (Trust me, even though its not aluminum, it helps)

Go buy some PB Blaster at a auto parts store. Let is sit awhile. I put the 22mm open wrench on it and tapped it with a mallot with small taps. Once off, put some anti seize paste as mentioned above. You will always be able to remove it again if needed.

What tool did you use? You need a 02 sensor socket (available at most auto part stores) and a long wrench. The longer the wrench the easier it is. If you are using an open end wrench that's not long enough it will be tough!

You can soak the bolts in WD40 too (overnight), I drenched my engine parts in it when I did a turbo upgrade on my Eclipse, but made sure it was all evaporated before firing it up. It took about 3-4 days for all my installs though so it was surely gone by then..

I got Helix and put it on today. I love it. It's pretty loud but I feel little more power on the higher rpm and quick boost spool.
Thanks for your input, dude.
