How do u install a downpipe?

Hey ive never installed a downpipe before. It looks pretty simple. Do i have to remove anything before i can reach the stock downpipe to remove it. Or can i just get to the bolts right off the bat and remove it? Are there any tips anyone can give me? Also im pretty sure ill have to have the car raised off the ground as ill be installing a high flow cat as well. Any idea how much a car stand jack thingy will cost? I dun wanna use the regualr car jack as im sure ill make the car squash my face. And then i wouldnt be able to test out my new parts

Any advise would be greatly appretiated. Thanks guys!

They have an excellent write up on the downpipe replacement. It's exactly how they say it is. I did mine lastweekend and it went flawless!

I would suggest purchasing (at any Pep Boys, etc) a set of Rhino Ramps...lifts the car up enough (and VERY safely I might add) to do that type of work...good luck...

Also the UR highflow cat didnt come with any gaskets. Is it possible my RMR 3'' catback came with one and its currently on my stock cat? I cant remember and i see my car till tomorrow.

Socket extension. You'll need one to reach the bolts on the O2 housing right below the turbo.

u think one of those screwdriver sockets would work?

like its a screwdriver with itnerchangable parts so u can fit a socket on the end.

Not likely. You need something you can get more torque with, like a socket ratchet, since the exhaust bolts will be quite tight.

The spring loaded bolts that go on the O2 housing have end stops at the thread. Just tighten them till it stops but don't over tighten them once they stop.
