Hey guys, Just looking at the ETS intake system and the website recommends a tune after install. They said this about the exhaust too but it was fine (until I upgraded to 1000cc injecters and a walbro pump) and HAD to tune it.

If I buy the ETS intake should I retune even though i'm tuned for the extra fuel already?
Honestly I'll probably retune eventually anyways because of the drop in altitude I experienced moving from Colorado to Texas but I wanted to wait until I upgrade the turbo...no sense in adding an extra $500 for a poorly timed tune.

It is highly advisable to get a tune after installing an intake however I'm sure plenty don't. Why not wait to put the intake and turbo on at the same time so you just need one tune?

You should also get re-tuned for Texas. Are you in the Austin area?

 

Most EvO tuners will note, any change in any of the air / fuel & exhaust related components will require a retune

Im sure you know, its always best to make these bolt-on changes all at the same time

 

well guys i can't afford the turbo "kit" so i went with cams springs retainers and an intake and i'll retune for texas all at once. But no I'm in the dallas area and i'm tuning at evolution dynamics, they only work on evos.
