Fuel pump housing
Has anyone replaced the fuel pump housing in an Evo 9 (the large white housing in pic below)? Seems mostly straightforward, mostly concerned about the float / arm that reads fuel level...

Yes. It's a very easy, smelly, and straightforward process. The large white housing actually has a permanent filter inside of it. The only way to change that filter is to change the entire housing.
Here is a write on how to change the fuel pump. The only thing you have to do further is:

1. Unclip the bottom black clip that has a tank ground on it
2. Unclip/ unplug the Levler assembly
3. Swap the siphon tubes and hoses over
4. Swap bottom fuel bump retaining clip.
Don't over tighten the small nuts on top of the fuel tank. They can snap right off with just wrist strength. A lot of people including trained mechanics tend to snap them off.
