05 JDM Evo 9 Speedometer issues.

05 JDM Evo 9 Speedometer issues.
Hey guys
I bought a project evo 9 recently and the speedometer did not work. I have tried a new cluster, checking all the wiring twice over, even bought a new speed sensor for inside the gearbox (6 Speed). The speedo still has no sign of life, anyone here had something similar,? I'm out of ideas
