Guys. I'm installing my Autometer 30-0-30 gauge this weekend, as was asked before, isn't there a BETTER boost tap Location other than the FPR line???

Where the heck is the Stock (RS & MR) gauge tied-in????

Oh, and why don't I see more Autometer Boost gauges? For the past TWENTY years we've been using them in the Turbo Buick Community and their always DEAD ON acurate, and you guys KNOW how Fast the Buicks are....

because for me, i'd used them in the past, and i'd killed a couple of them (they replaced them free), but i didn't wanna have to do that again, so i went elsewhere.

If you have an rs, or mr, just go behind the dash and T the line.

I would also like to know where the proper place to tie in is. Many people say don't use the FPR line, but rather use the line from the manifold to the BOV. Does anyone have a picture of this line? It would be appreciated!! Thanks

I am installing the Defi Blue Racer Gauge. I need to know what wires to tap into.

Black wire- To ground or negative battery Terminal. (no problem)

White wire illumination- to 12V wire when small lamp on. (What wire?)

Red wire-12V Battery- to 12V battery wire (what wire?)

Orange wire-IGN- to 12V wire when ignition on. (what wire?)

Thanks in advance for any help or pictures.

I have the answer.

Constant Power (Red) »Black w/ Red Stripe on Radio Harness

Ground (Black) »Black Wire from Cigarette Lighter

Ignition On (Orange) »Red Wire from Cigarette Lighter

Illumination (White) »Green w/ White Stripe Wire from Cigarette Lighter

I have a question for you. On your write up you tapped the T piece into the FPR on the top of it... evomoto's installation they tap into the side of it. Does it matter? Thanks.

Here is the picture from Evomoto's installation.
