Do you have to take off the bumper or does that just make it easier and give you a chance to do it cleaner?

you really need to off. you need a nice tidy place for the ballast and ignitors. dont be afraid to remove it though. it is easy, and goes back together easy too. the whole operation took 2.5 to 3 hours, and i was poochin it.

i did a half bumper removal i didnt remove my undertray with all those plastic thingies, since i am going to mount my ballast on the lights behind the fogs.

I'm Not afraid to take a bumper off (done motor swaps before) Was just askin?

i would really reconsider relocating the ballasts to a location where there is less likely to have water hitting it. i fried 2 ballast on different cars when water hit them. or at least use silicone to seal the seams and the connectors.
