thanks for the writeup! I was on my way to have my mechanic do this for me, but i think i might take a stab at it myself first...

will report back with butt dyno results when im done!

OMG, thank you. You have no idea how long my Billet JDM type-R oil cap has been sitting on the shelf in my basement waiting until I found some help with the intall. Cudos my friend, cudos!

This is the only thing I know how to DIY on an EVO. Sorry if it seems trivial. I am just trying to make a contribution to the tech. section of EVOM.

I need to get the most bang for my buck. Is there a certain brand that will give me the best hp? What about cheap ebay ones. I remember years back I got an oil cap off ebay for $0.06 plus $6.00 shipping. I really didn't feel the hp come out of it. Thats why I ask.
