How To Install: High Performance Oil Cap

Step 1: Pop the hood
Step 2: *Optional* Disconnect the negative ground cable from the battery (precautionary)
Step 3: Unscrew OEM oil cap (note: I recommend using gloves to protect your hands)
Step 4: Screw on new high performance oil cap by hand (~ 20 ft.lbs for those of you with internal torque sensors in your arms)
Step 5: Reconnect the negative ground to the battery (skip this step if you chose not to do step 2)
Step 6: Close the hood
Step 7: Test Drive (Feel the POWER!)

This is the only thing I know how to DIY on an EVO. Sorry if it seems trivial. I am just trying to make a contribution to the tech. section of EVOM.

Thanks, I've been looking for a write up on this. How long did it take you? Which way should I rotate the oil cap? How many WHP is this mod? Do you have to rotate an ARC oil cap in the opposite direction since it is a JDM piece?

FWIW I tried making quality posts but they never "counted". Now I know why. They weren't considered a worthy contribution to the site (because they were regional related e.g. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=282108, or introductory https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=182553. Now I realize I need to post in the technical sections to get some recognition. So here I am. This is the only stuff I know how to do on an EVO, so I wrote about it. Sorry if it seems trivial to you. Others seem to think its helpful

It's nice to see most of you have good senses of humor. Too bad some of you take it personally. Let loose and laugh once in a while.

Although your intentions are true, I do not think that people are going to appreciate this.
