Question ams fuel presure regulator help

k so on installing the ams fpr i still dono what to do with the vacuum line coming from the manifold. the install says krimp it off and set base fuel pressure. are you suppose to leave it krimped off though? cause i did both ways if i set base fuel pressure and un krimp the vacuum line the car runs fine boost fine and everything. until i turned my car back on and tried again. it was cutting out at 4 grand. ( i dono if this is cause im flooding the engine with the 750cc injectors im not tuned for yet) but thought this was very wierd cause the fuel pressure also dropped at idle to like 30 psi. and just leave the vacuum line krimped it seems like it runs good but might not be getting the right amount of fuel. can anyone help please? thanks

You need to crimp the line while the vehicle is at idle and set the base fuel pressure at 43.5psi. After the base pressur is set you uncrimp the line. If you leave it crimped you will run lean and blow the engine. The FPR is a 1:1 rising rate. So as manifold pressure increases the fuel pressure increases. Example when the manifold is reading 0 psi the fuel pressure is at 43.5 psi, when your boost rises to 20 psi your fuel pressure will rise to 63.5 psi. If you dont have the vacuum line hooked up or youleave it crimped your fuel pressure will stay at 43.5 psi when you boost 20 psi.

The reason the fuel pressure drops at idle is because the manifol is under a vacuum so the fuel is pulled back a little.

Hope this helps and answers all your questions.
