help with mbc

i just installed my downpipe, test pipe and mbc. i looked it up on a how to install the mbc and i did it just like it said to. The problem is that i am only boosting at 12 lbs, and worse is that sometimes it decides to shoot to 29-30 lbs and will stay there if i don't get off the gas. i installed the wastegate part that is perpendicular to the actual boost controller to the wastegate, and the barb that is even with the boost controller to the j pipe off of the turbo. the hoses going to the stock boost solenoid got plugged as well as the one on the intake.

what could possibly be wrong? i can control my boost with a mbc?

It sounds like you have your hose backward.

no unless the guy that posted the how to did it wrong. i have the one right off of the bottom of the mbc to the turbine outlet nipple and the one off of the side of the mbc to the wastegate actuator nipple. i plugged the hoses to the wastegate solenoid.

See if you can get a picture of your setup.

Sounds like you have it right. What kind of controller do you have that may be the problem?
