custom parts for trade?

I just bought a 2006 MR, and it has green cone filter, and 3" catback exhaust. It was installed on the car just prior to sale to me, but I don't like it. Its loud and I don't think it gives any extra power.
I want to switch it all to stock parts. anyone wanna trade ??

post here, or PM me. thanks

hmmm...that's funny. a 3" exhaust and an intake doesn't give an Evo extra power??? I should put mine back to stock too. Maybe I can make more power with the stock stuff. The stuff definitely helps make more power. Put it back to stock and you will probably wish you had the parts back since you are used to the extra power the intake and exhaust already provides.

the 3-5 extra Hp i get with the custom parts arent worth the noise they make. people hear me coming from 2 blocks away, and I cant hear my radio playing

On an EVO with those parts and a custom tune you are looking at more like 30-50 hp. An evo will make 20 hp from a tune alone and then another 20 or so from those 2 parts. You will deffinately notice a BIG difference if you go back to stock!

I will gladly trade you a stock exhaust for the 3", also trade you the stock intake! if thats what you really want, we can do that np. just pm me

On a side note, if you want to keep the exhaust, think about getting another muffler installed. (If there is a muffler on it now anyway)

Well, if its way too loud for you, dont get rid of the exhaust and filter, those are BIG power mods on an EVO. What you need to do is look at one of the Magnaflow mufflers that Buschur Racing or one of the other vendors sell. They are extremely quiet and make great power. You need to leave the filter, change the muffler to one like the magnaflow, and then get tuned. A tune wont cause a CEL unless you go to someone who screws it up. There are plenty of very reputable shops in NY, just put a post up about and and someone will point you in that direction. But if you pull those 2 parts off and go back to stock, you WILL notice a difference. Forced Induction cars love open breathing. So look for a new muffler and a good tuner and you will deffinately notice the difference.

Its not NA, its FI... Just a TBE and a tune got me 70 extra whp... Add an intake to that and I would've had a bit more... 3-5 extra HP is what I got from putting on a K&N filter into the stock airbox alone! Forced induction is a wonderful thing. If you think its too loud, that makes sense, but just know that if you go back to stock you'll lose a decent chunk of hp.

Well honestly, I wouldn't know if the car already had a good tune? like i said, I bought it as is, and have no idea what was done before. All I know is what I can see, like the cone intake filter, 3" exhaust and huge muffler, and lastly, a boost controller (a small valve), mounted on top of the intake pipe, with one hose leading to the BOV, and another small hose leading to the intake manifold
