How to REMOVE mechanical PRESSURE gauge???

The evo I bought has a mechanical vac/pressure boost gauge that is reading pressure only. It's connected (drilled) in the intercooler piping right before it goes to the intake manifold. I have a different gauge I put on a vacuum line that reads pressure and vacuum. I still have the old gauge just sitting there...
Does anyone know what will happen if I take the old sealing nut out and nylon tubing? Would I have to seal it somehow with something?? Thank you.

Its drilled into the IC pipe?? Why? Anyway, if you take it off you will have a boost leak. You need to plug that hose, or remove it from the IC pipe and plug that up. I hope its at least the stock IC pipe.

Not to mention you could be sucking in air that is unmetered by the MAF, and causing your engine to run lean. (which is your biggest concern)

Yea.. I don't why the guy that owned it before did that.. it was easier to just go to a vacuum line, then rather drill, tap and mount it in the IC pipe.. So I will just probably buy a new pipe now. Thanks
