I purchased evoscan last night and messed with it a little. I couldn't find a digital RPM gauge face to view the RPM while adjusting the screw. I just discovered the widget gauges, so I'll try again tonight.
I couldn't get RPM to display while I was in SAS mode. Let me know if you find anything.

All you need is a digital RPM gauge to be displayed while you activate the SAS actuator, however, I can't get one (digital) to display. You could get it close with the tach, but I wanted something more accurate.
I noticed that you can load a gauge layout but none of them are digital. I found a digital gauge in the widget menu but don't know how to get it to work while activating the SAS actuator.

I got it to work using the widget digital gauge.
Logging/Log Data to File (un-check this, you don't need to create a file just to set the idle)
Gauges & Dashboards/Add Edit Gauge Widget.
select one of the digital gauges
Right click on the gauge image/Numeric Indicator/Engine RPM.
Edit template/select numeric indicators/total digits/4/apply.
Click creaet new widget.
Your gauge should be setup on the desktop, close your widget window.

hmm, maybe you guys could help me out
i bought my evo with some mods already
the idle was at 2k rpm, kinda loud
when doing a routine check up the mech guy did lowered it with the screw, now its 850-1000 rpm
but the car got weak, the oil light sometimes lid up and it almost dies
and the fan is on all the time, is it right?

852 w/ ac on.
cfit, That doesn't seem right. If it sounds like it's going to stall at 850/1000, I'd guess it has some aggressive cams in it, maybe? It would help if you could find out exactly modifications the car has.
Edit: OK, I just tried to do this again to write up a how to and now the widget gauge won't read correctly. very confusing.
