How to adjust idle in newest version of ecuflash
How to adjust idle in newest version of ecuflash
Trying to adjust idle and i know there used to be a idle section, now i dont have that and im not sure how to adjust the target idle rpm now
Im running speed density on the stock ecu, not sure if that has anything to do with it

should have an "idle" section, and you would want to adjust the "desired idle" tables vs coolant temp. im using the latest ecuflash and nothing important is missing since it should be all still in your xml files.
Thats weird that i dont have it anymore. I swear it was there before i updated to the latest version. Is there anyway to get it back? Can i send my map to someone and they can put it back on there? I dont know how to edit the xml stuff
The issue is that Tactrix updated the XMLs to a common naming structure in the latest release of ECUFlash, and a LOT of things got left out. You either have to edit the XML, or find the older xml you were using and put it back in the default xml directory that ecuflash uses (and delete the 'new' one).
When it comes to the xml's i have no idea what to do or where to find them. Can anyone go into detail on what to change and where i find it?
Is there any way i can use an older version of ecu flash and the idle section will be back?

You just need to find the older XML you were using.
If you go into Program Files and look for "Open ECU", inside there you'll eventually find a folder called 'Backup 00x' (it will have a number). When ECUFlash updates, it puts all the old definitions in that folder and shoves the new ones in the folder called 'rommetadata' in the 'mitsubishi' part.
You need to go into 'Backup' and find the XML for the ROM you were using and copy paste it into the 'rommetadata/mitsubishi/evo' folder. Then you need to delete the new version that ECUFlash is defaulting to, or the old one won't work.

Awesome advice. Im going to try this as soon as im home. I will let you know if it goes smooth or not. Im not computer retarded but when it comes to the ecu stuff, im completely lost

When i look at my files i see a " backup001" and "backup002"
Nothing is in the 001 file, but in the 002 when i get all the way into the evo section, its just a list of xml's. im not sure what im looking for to go and paste in the new place. Its just a bunch of numers for the xml file names.
Im not sure what to do here or how to find the rom i was using. Im on speed density, so i dont want to do something wrong and potentially mess up my whole thing here

Backup 002 would be what you want. The xml files are all numbered/named according to the car they came out of.
If you want the easy way, open ecuflash, go to 'File', then 'options'. In the popup window, go to 'metadata directory' and point ecuflash to the 'backup002' folder. Boom, it will ignore the new xmls and always default to backup002 when it starts
