Idle speed adjustment not working ...

I'm trying to adjust my idle speed to smooth the rough idle resulting from my engine mount install. I've made adjustments to the idle RPM drive/neutral, but the results are odd. The idle adjustment seems to have worked for the most part without the AC on, but it will randomly drop below the requested idle. A blip of the throttle will usually fix this. However, with AC on (when the adjustment is most needed), the idle seems stock (around 740 RPM).

Drive and neutral idles are set to ~860 RPM. I'd like for my idle to be around 850 RPM with AC off and probably 880-900 with AC on. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

EDIT ::: Tables found thanks to Gunzo!

-- These tables are for 88590015 ROM --

This is the actual idle adjustment table ...

Code:
<table name="Actual Desired Idle RPM" category="Idle" type="2D" address="3d24" scaling="RPM8">
     <table name="Engine Temp" type="Y Axis" address="70c2" elements="8" scaling="Temp"/>
</table>
This table sets the maximum idle value ...

Code:
<table name="Idle Limit" category="Idle" address="1e30" type="2D" level="1" scaling="RPMTarget">
	<table name="Conditions" type="Static Y Axis" elements="2"/>
</table>
Updated idle settings for AC on/off (I hope to test these today)

Code:
<table name="Idle Settings" category="Idle" address="223e" type="2D" level="1" scaling="RPMTarget">
<table name="Conditions" type="Static Y Axis" elements="2">
<data>Idle AC ON - Drive</data>
<data>Idle AC OFF - Neutral</data>
</table>
</table>
This table sets the desired idle with AC on/off ... (Update :: This tables does not adjust AC idle on my car. Others have said it does work.)

Code:
<table name="Idle RPM" category="Idle" address="146c" type="2D" level="1" scaling="RPMTarget">
     <table name="Conditions" type="Static Y Axis" elements="4">
          <data>Idle RPM Neutral AC OFF</data>
          <data>Idle RPM Drive AC OFF</data>
          <data>Idle RPM Neutral AC ON</data>
          <data>Idle RPM Drive AC ON</data>
     </table>
</table>
Other possible changes (will try to test soon as well)

Desired ISC position Neutral - 51B0
Desired ISC position Neutral AC ON - 5502
Desired ISC position Drive AC ON - 5510
Desired ISC position Neutral unknown(probably post warmup) - 3D4C

I'm confused. Why are you messing with idle after an engine mount install?. The mounts don't affect the idle quality at all, just how much noise and vibration is transmitted into the cabin. Even you raise the idle slightly, it'll still produce noise.

You are correct. The idle hasn't changed, but a slightly higher idle lessens the vibrations in the cabin. I've had the mount for a while and it's beginning to shake things loose now that it's summer and I've been using the AC more.

I'm curious, what brand mounts did you install, and how many of them did you replace?

Yeah, my Ralliart front mount does the same thing. A slightly higher idle does greatly lessen the cabin vibration. Never thought to try to raise the idle. FWIW, the vibration has subsided substantially since I installed it about nine months ago.

There are other tables to look at for the idle including stepper values. the first three tables are also desire idle, one of them with ac on. Since Ecuflash truncates the table name its hard to see, but if you go in and act like you are gonna edit the map def, the title shows up.

I've heard to not mess with the stepper tables ... do you have any tips for adjustment?

Don't know about the IX but my VIII has a "Desired Idle RPM with AC on" that I bumped up some.

There's an adjustment screw on the TB that will need to be adjusted, if you want to change your idle speed. It's located on the back of the TB, facing the firewall. I believe you turn it clock wise to raise RPM's.

that makes sense. How does this interact with the ECU values? Does the ECU become confused if you change the idle mechanically?

Did you change "Desired Idle RPM with AC on" in EcuFlash from your post it looks like you missed it.

Not yet ... I honestly didn't know it existed. I'm going to look in the .xml to locate it. There are many idle values whose names are truncated in ECUFlash.

I have the same problem with my car!! I'm getting my idle adjusted this weekend. If you try to change your idle speed with the screw under your hood next to the TB, the ECU will eventually adjust itself back to where it was before you changed it. I tried it and that seemed to be the case for me.
