Make a street 10,25 EVO8

How do I build a 10,25 street driven EVO8 the cheapest way? I can source a 100mm stroke crank for free.

Is the stock manifold up for the task with a 35r from atp that has turbine housing that bolts directly on?

Is the stock FMIC up for the task?

Is the stock EMS up for the task with a remap?

I think your in the wrong section Do you mean 1,025? Your going to need more than a 35r, stock manifold, intercooler and ECM to get there.

Well, guys has claimed low ten's on about 450whp. An FMIC upgrade is not expensive, but I'm specially interested in knowing if a GT35R with ATP bolt on turbine housing will do the job together with 2,3 stroker, 272 cams and aftermarket EMS.

I highly doubt the ATP bolt on turbo will do it. Yes, a GT35 is capable with most everything else maxed out and a hell of a driver. The ATP turbine housing doesn't flow very well due to the design required to get it to mate to the stock manifold. You will also need an upgraded intercooler to keep that much more airflow cool. A GT35 would heat soak a stock intercooler within a gear or two of a drag run.

well, you can't really go off of a "power number". there are too many factors in dyno readings to go off of power numbers. people are running 10s on stock evo 9 turbos, FPgreens, and anything bigger. It depends on how well setup the mods are and the car is for it's intended purpose. And the driver plays a huge roll in that as well!

I'm talking about a stock EVO with no weight reduction.

You need at least 550-600hp on a stock weight evo to run 10s, and a good driver.

not exactly true, but to run a low 10 then yes. but all that power is not required just to break into the tens like you stated
