CF Bumper Sheild

I was just wondering if anyone used metal rivets instead of the screws that come with the shield i want to install mine but i dont know which would be better thanks. please show pictures

I think he is talking about the exhaust heat shield. That helps keep the burnt residue from the exhaust off the bumper.

yes the rear bumper, my exhaust makes poo poo stains on my rear bumper so i had to get a sheild

I have the carbon fiber exhaust shield and I used the metal screws that came with it. I didn't use all of them because I wanted a cleaner install look but used enough to make sure it stayed secure.

If u use the screws that came with it, u should be fine. I barely saw the screw heads. Plus using rivets, u might have to remove or loosen the rear muffler. Unless, u have a small rivet gun.

ill post some pics up later on when i get home. i have the metal rivets they look good IMO i used them rather then screws and spaced them out evenly. they pull it together tighter without spliting it or cracking it. u can get rivets in black that would probally look cleaner and not real noticable.

ok sounds cool arent the black rivets plastic, and wont they melt from the exhaust
