AEM Tru Boost Gauge Install
Ok so I hooked everything up and I'm not getting power or it's not turning on at all. Checked all the wires even for continuity and everything is fine. Any suggestions?
P.s. I also have my oil pressure gauge set up with the same power and ground place as the trickier and that works fine)

mild thread revival here but I am having a slight wiring issue with my Evo VIII:
So I bought the car and the boost gauge would only light up when the headlights came on (perfect!) but I got a woofer installed and the guy said to me "Did your boost gauge light up before?" "ummmm...yea..?" "Well it doesn't anymore and their are wires but idk which is which so I left it." .........awesome.....
So I got behind the radio and under the dash and everything and found the ONLY two wires not connected to anything - I put them together and the boost gauge lights up! Only now it lights up constantly...even when the car is shut off. I believe it is now hooked into the radio "memory saver" wire. This is not really a huge problem since the boost gauge is an LED light and draws almost no power but if the car sits for 2+ days then it could become an issue.
If anyone has any pictures of where they wired or spliced in their boost gauge for it to light up that would be excellent! (2004 Evo 8 is my car).

Helpful, yet this is not a universal setup - there are more steps to take if you are using an external wastegate.

You'll use ports 1 & 2 for your lines. Read away.

Thanx for the write up, did this a couple days ago. I was only getting 6lbs., lots of sputter, sounding like i had anti-lag. After lots of frustration and reading and adjusting, I opened my hood and saw that I didn't plug my MAF back in! Dumbass... This thing is awesome, but now I have to dial it down before I blow a gasket.
Ok, I've had mine for less than a year, and out of no where my car had problems; not idleing, and boost was almost nil. I thought it was a valve problem, compression test was good, found a couple vacuum leaks, minor boost leak. I read that guys are having problems with the solenoid on the TruBoost, which cost $90, so instead I got a Halman Pro boost controller, and 2 Autometer Pro lite boost gauges. One gauge is off the turbo, the other is off the manifold. Car is boosting fine now, but I have a 5 psi difference, so I'll check wastegate next. Posting this in case you guys have similar problems.
Why do you say, "2) Cap off the stock solenoid but do not unplug it."
I was tuned by Mellon and he had no problem with me unplugging the stock solenoid. Do you say this
because of the CEL?
