I doubt you'll have any problems with tapping into the cig lighter. Nevertheless, you can always get a slightly higher rated fuse if it pops. People plug in all kinds of things into the cigarette lighter socket (for example, Power Inverters for running a laptop in-car).

Stuff that will definitely require alot more power than just your navi and a wideband..

In order to get access to the power wire on the cd player. You have to pull out the radio, and I believe the 12 volt power wire is the all black one.

Go to the fuse box in the car and ind a 12v ign. source and tap off it.
