I just purchased a can of hi temp in the silver/aluminum and lightly painted over the fins and covered it up. Looks like it came that way.

+1 on that me and a buddy was screing around and sprayed some on a fire extinguisher. Came back the next day to find out it had removed the red power coat and bubbled it up like a rubber balloon. This stuff is a beast. I wouldn reccommend spraying it anywhere within a hundred yards of ur car if u value ur paint job cuz this stuff will almost remove the stds off a corner prostitute.

If you dont want to wait for the stencil and wanna keep it, just take some time and paint it off. Ill post pics of mine when I redid my AMS stencil. Came out perfect too.

I used Graffiti remover from home depot. Worked great on removing my upside down painted mishimoto logo.
