DIY Radio Relocation Brackets
How To: DIY Radio Relocation Brackets
If you don't want to spend $60 or so for the kit, then here's a good way to relocate your radio. You can buy the lower radio cubby separately for cheap, then modify your factory brackets.
Step 1: Remove brackets from radio
Step 2: Cut on green dotted line on both brackets. I used tin snips.
Step 3: Screw the bracket onto radio from hole #1 to the second hole where the arrow is pointing.
Step 4: Screw radio into lower section as you would in the top section.
Step 5: Enjoy your DIY radio relocation brackets
The radio solid and snug like it would be with the brackets in the kit. The fit is perfect.
