ZT-2 Installation...Help!

Tryi'n to finish up the install on my ZT-2, and a few questions came up. So far I tapped four wires into the ECU for the sensor. ZT-2 red wire went to ecu pin # 47(power), ZT-2 green wire went to ecu pin #45(tach), ZT-2 black wire went to ecu pin #46(ground) and ZT-2 grey wire went to ecu pin # 78(tps). My qestions are: 1. Putting the sensor in the stock o2 location should I route the wire along the drive shaft tunnel and come up through the hole in the pass side drive shaft tunnel, or route the wire under the side skirts and go through the factory hole in the firewall? Second what do I do with the stock o2 sensor? Do I just cut it out and tap off the wires? Do I leave it connected and just secure it under the car? Is there a diff. method that is better? Last is the only ground for the sensor through the ecu? Any suggestions and/or input woulod be great, thanks to all in advance!

Most people weld a O2 bung on the downpipe at 12-o-clock 3"-6" from the end.
Then route the O2 cable to the interior thru a plug directly above the welded bung on passenger side. This way u don't have to mess with the stock rear O2.

What I did.

Weld a bung at 12 o'clock on the exhaust tubing so that the ZT-2 o2 sensor will be installed facing up and down at the tallest section of the "tunnel" (most clearance -use your judgement). Then run the o2 sensor wire through the grommet conveniently located on the passenger side of the tunnel and bring out from the center console area near the passenger feet area, (you'll have to pull back a bit on the carpet).

Secondly, there is only one ground through the ECU for the ZT-2.

Thirdly, you can leave the rear o2 plugged in if it works or just disconnect the connector located under the pass seat, (under the carpet) and have your tuner code the CEL out.

Thank you guys for your input, I thought the stock rear o2 bung would be a good place to put it, but I guess I was wrong. Can i put it in the stock location just until a new bung is welded, or will that cause issues? Thanks again for the help, was going to do the install tomorrow but maybe I should hold off??

Yes u can, but you will throw a CEL if the stock O2 is not plugged in.
It won't cause any driveability issues since the rear O2 is to make sure the cat is working.
imo, i'd wait until u get a bung welded in the DP.
