How To: Modify USDM rear support to fit JDM bumper
FIRST OFF: THIS IS NOT MY WRITE UP.
http://www.socalevo.net/index.php?op...&topic=48488.0
I want to start off by saying this is not my write up, but after searching for awhile I came across this. I found this link very helpful and I can confirm this step by step process actually worked. I suggest anyone who would like to save 300$ from buying an aftermarket rear bumper support to give this a shot.
Tools Needed:
Cutting wheel
Grinder
Spot Weld Drill Bit, (or drill bit strong enough)
Welder
Primer
Can of spray paint
12mm socket
I was able to modify my rear bumper support in about 1 hr (letting it cool after welding, primer, paint, and test fitting)
If you need any more help, feel free to PM me and I'll do my best to help.
