Walbro ??

Installed a Walbro fuel pump a few weeks ago, one thing that did bother me was that white washer(looks like a top hat) that fitted just below the rubber washer that pushes up into the housing was real loose and didnt really seem like it did anything? It was not even helping push up against the black rubber. Anybody else think that was strange?

Did you reuse the OE pieces to put it back on? I've heard the Walbro ones don't fit perfectly in there.

I had a customer car recently that seemed to be down on fuel pressure, after some convincing I finally got him to pull the pump and inspect the install, sure enough it was missing the white piece. He re-installed it with that piece and fuel pressure is way up.

well lets hope mine is ok. when i first did it by accident i pulled out the pressure swich and pushed it back pressure swich into its sleave but the o-ring went in sideways! so put it all back and had pretty much no pressure , could not start the car. then after pulling it all out 4 times and even putting the old stock pump back we found the problem.

that washer always bothered me because of its fit thou the fact that it helped push up against the black rubber is good but its not made to fit .

I can hear a very slight drone (fuel pump motor noise) coming from the pump, have to put my head on back seat to hear it sometimes and sometimes can just hear its faint pitch of a noise... hope thats normal
