I realized this after I bolted it to the block so I hope I didn't bend a valve.

I'm pretty sure its fine though, so I'm going to use a crecent wrench and slowly turn the cams to the position the need to be in, I need some way to keep them there because they want to spring back....

We'll see.
the valve springs push the cam around you have to hold it rotated to the right place and do the timing belt and make sure the mivec cam is rotated to the rear of the car

I made a boo boo...

I buttoned it back together and it started right up, but now it sounds like there is loose change somewhere in the valve cover/intake/throttle body area. I can't seem to pinpoint it. It's not constant, that's why its hard to trace. I rev it to 2k and let it fall back down and it will rattle for about five seconds. I don't think its the lifters, sounds more like a washer, any ideas?

After lots of searching (and after evoboi005 mentioned the MIVEC cam) it looks like the MIVEC cam needs to be primed and rotated back? I drove the car for 2 miles very gently and it ran fine, wouldn't that be enough to prime it?

How do I rotate the cam backwards? I don't reallly get it...

Thanks again for the input guys

should have primped it self in the first 10 seconds of running ...did you throw a timing over advanced code? ... if not and all the timing marks line up your prob ok

Are you sure the noise isnt coming from your PCV valve? Mine makes a little rattle noise over there every now and then but goes away

Attention!!!!! The problem has been solved and you're not gonna believe it. The car obv doesn't run well without a tune right? And it only happened at idle, so any final guesses what it was? The car didn't create enough vacuum at idle and rattled the egr valve ball which resonated throughout the manifold. Tuned the car to idle smooth and problem solved!
