Idle issues with Defroster or A/c on.

I have been battling an Idle problem for a while now. a few months ago I changed my battery and when started the car with the new battery I all of the sudden had Idle and voltage drop when running the A/C or the defroster. When i came to a stop my Idle would drop from 1100rpm that i set in ecuflash to 650-700rpm and voltage dropped from 14.5 to 13s. i did a boost leak down at that time and did discover a very small intermittent leak at the throttle body linkage. it did not show on even the very accurate vac/boost gauge on the dyno. My friend Paul from ECS Performance helped me by changing the injector latency settings in this area until there was no STFT and the problem was better, but not completely fixed. I just recently put new plugs and wires in the car and when i reconnected the battery the problem came back. Dose anyone have an idea of how to fix this?

Yep... You need to adjust your idle tables.

If I need to adjust the idle tables why was it fixed then changed when resetting ecu. The tables dont change when you disconnect the battery, do they?

They shouldnt no... but if it was mechanical, it wouldnt change either just by resetting the ecu unless it was a stuck relay or something. I would look into the idle tables. There are more than just desired idle settings.

I have not found a fix for this as of yet. I intend to start by using evoscan to park the IACV ( Idle Air Controll Valve), in order to correctly adjust the BISS, ( Base Idle Set Screw). Once Ive confirmed that the BISS is set correctly, I will see if this fixes the problem. I'm guessing that I will need to then check my IACV to see if it is in anyway broken. I will do the normal physical inspection to see if it working properly, and the check it to see if it is in the proper ohms range, 28-30 ohms I think. If this all checks out I will log my STFT and LTFT to see if I need to make adjustments to the injector latency tables. I was successful in correcting this problem a few months ago by changing the latencies, but when I disconnected the battery to change my plugs and wires, the problem came back. I also need to replace the throttle body shaft seals that are leaking slightly, which may be contributing to the problem as well. I will report back when I have done these things to let you know if I had any luck in fixing this PITA problem.
